2007 James R. Esbenshade II Rural Sustainability Research Assistantship

Sandra Rodriguez-Piñeros is a Forestry Engineer from Colombia.  She received a Master’s degree in forest resources with emphasis in forest economics from OSU. Sandra is currently working on her PhD in Environmental Science focusing on sustainability.  The money she received as part of her award will help her conduct research to test Criteria and Indicators for sustainable forest management using a deliberative democracy process. This research will be taking place in Colombia, a country with 49.6 million hectares of tropical forest.
