Dr. Shriver has authored or co-authored 24 paper in journals such as American Sociology Review, Society and and Natural Resources, Social Science Journal, and American Journal of Environmental Science. Dr. Shriver designed and directed the Environmental Sociology concentration until Fall 2007. He developed three courses at the graduate level including the Seminar in Environmental Sociology, Advanced Topics in Environmental Sociology, and Seminar on the Contemporary Environmental Movement. His participatory teaching style encourages students to develop their own analytical approaches to issues that they will encounter as citizens.
