2008 Award for Outstanding Student Environmental Research

Shirley Vincent is an ES doctoral student advised by Dr. Will Focht.  Shirley won this award for her outstanding research presentation entitled, "US Higher Education Environmental Program Managers' Perspective on Curriculum Design and Core Competencies:  Implications for Sustainability as a Guiding Framework" delivered at this years student research symposium.  Shirley has also served has also served as the director of freshman research scholars program, President of OSU's Graduate and Professional Student Government Association, and task group chair for the ASTM Committee on Biological Effects and Environmental Fate, Subcommittee on Risk Assessment, Communication, and Management.
