  James R. Esbenshade II Research Assistantship in Rural Sustainability

This award is given to an outstanding Environmental Science graduate student who is pursuing research to advance sustainability practice in rural settings.

1. Eligibility: Any Oklahoma State University Environmental Science graduate student working in sustainability.

2. Application packet must include:

a. A letter from the student’s advisor or colleague that describes the academic importance of the student’s environmental research

b. A 2-page abstract from the nominee (not to exceed 1000 words) that summarizes the his/her research findings

c. Résumé

d. Photo (electronic version preferred)

3. Nomination deadline is December 15, 2008

4. Deadline for receipt of application packet:  January 1,2009
