AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE GRADUATE STUDENT RESEARCH
This
award for Outstanding Student Environmental Research is given to an OSU
Environmental Science graduate student who best demonstrates creativity,
originality, and quality in environmental research in a publication,
conference presentation, or conference poster. Preference will be given to
those Environmental Science graduate students who
present at the annual OSU Student Research Symposium. The
student will receive an engraved trophy and his or her name will be
permanently displayed on a student research award plaque. In addition, a
monetary award will be deposited in the student’s OSU Bursar account. This
award will be given only once to the same student.
1.
Eligibility:
Any Oklahoma State University Environmental Science graduate student.
a.
Quality and quantity of contribution to environmental science and management
(20%)
b. Impression made on judges as to the quality and compelling nature of the presentation (30%) c. Professionalism and courteousness of the presenter during the presentation (15%)
d.
Quality and appropriateness of visual aids used to enhance
presentation (15%)

Résumé

Application packet must include:
a.
A
letter from the student’s advisor or colleague that describes the academic
importance of the student’s environmental research
b.
A
2-page abstract from the nominee (not to exceed 1000 words) that summarizes
the his/her research findings
c.
Résumé
