AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING STUDENT ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICE

This award for Outstanding Student Environmental Service is given to an OSU student or organization that best demonstrates outstanding dedication to, involvement in, and accomplishment of environmental goals at Oklahoma State University.  This award will be given only once to the same student or organization.

1.   Eligibility: Any person or organization that has demonstrated dedication to and involvement in advancing environmental goals at OSU.

2.   Criteria:  The OSU student or organization that best demonstrates outstanding dedication to, involvement in, and accomplishment of environmental goals at Oklahoma State University .

a. Leadership in environmental service activities (40%)

b. Accomplishments in environmental service (30%)

c. Serves as an inspiration to others to engage in environmental service (20%)

d. Breadth of participation in environmental service organizations (10%)

3.   Application packet must include:

a. Two letters of recommendation from a person familiar with the nominee that describes the impact of the nominee’s efforts to advance environmental goals at OSU

b. A 2-3 page statement by the nominee that describes the environmental activities and accomplishments in which the nominee was involved, along with supporting materials, if available such as news articles, press releases, examples of work, and photographs

c. Photo (electronic version preferred)

4.   Deadline for receipt of application packet:  January 15, 2008
