About Ted Mills
Dr.
Ted Mills, professor emeritus in Science Education, has been a
teacher, mentor, and role model to many environmental educators in Oklahoma
and beyond. Retired from OSU in 1996, he was and continues to be a leader in
bringing environmental education into the academic curriculum. He was
founder of the Center for Environmental Education and through his endeavors,
brought millions of dollars in grant money to OSU. He was also instrumental
in founding the Conservation Education Leadership Training Programs, which
keeps OK science teachers in OK. Professor Mills has received many awards
for his pioneering work in science & environmental education, including
the National Association of Environmental Education Award and the University
Continuing Education Faculty Service Award. He was inducted into the
Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2002.
