We encourage comments during the entire process. Comments about local issues are encouraged over the next year. If you wish to make a comment that will be included in the regional reports we will need to receive it by December 31, 2007. Once the regional meetings are held and citizens summarize the comments from the local meetings into regional reports, those will be made available on the web. We encourage comments on regional issues discussed in the regional reports. After all the regional meetings are completed, a statewide report will be available and again comments will be encouraged on all aspects of that report. We will also identify several topic areas that will form the basis of the planning workshops to be held in 2009. At that point you can comment on the topics. There will be three planning workshops, separated by a couple of months, so comments between meetings are encouraged. The planning workshop report will be available on the web and comments about water management strategies are encouraged. In 2010 we will hold a Town Hall Meeting to try to reach consensus on various issues identified in the planning workshop report. After the Town Hall a report, containing the recommendations developed during the Town Hall, will be delivered to the OWRB for their consideration in the draft water plan. After the draft plan is written we will return to the 11 regions and ask for comments, suggestions and implementation ideas on the plan. These comments will be compiled and delivered to the OWRB for their consideration in the final water plan.
