Nominations for the regional input meetings closed on Feb. 29, 2008.

We are very pleased with the number of nominations we received. Our goal is to have around 30 participants in each of the eleven regions for a total of 330 people. With over 500 nominations, we should be able to ensure that all water interests are represented in each region.

In April, we will mail to each nominee an application that requests detailed information about their perspectives on water resources in our state. We will include with that a letter detailing the dates and locations of the regional meetings, the regional meeting agenda, and a description of the nominees' role in the process.

The Institute will review all applications to ensure that all interests are represented and then forward our recommendations to the Water Planning Advisory Board for final selection.

Also, once the list of participants is finalized we will post their name, county/region and their water interest. We encourage feedback on the nominees to ensure all water interests are represented.
